Cannot Enable 3D BluRay

I cannot turn on the 3D bluray support despite having a 3d TV and the August update.

The option is greyed out.

Any ideas on what I need to do to turn this on?

No ability to allow 3d even though I have a 3d tv...

I can't 3d to work either. I changed from auto to HDMI, had to manually set resolution to 1080p, which finally allowed me to check the "enable 3d" box, however my TV says invalid signal and when I go back to settings the 3d enable box is unchecked again.
TV works fine in 3d with all other sources (ps3, Samsun bluray player, Netflix). TV is 65" 3d dlp

I agree with MechaClone. supporting 3D does not necessarily mean that it will play 3D bluray. I have done many google keyword searches and I cannot find anything that specifically mentions 3D bluray.

 

One possibility is if you are routing your Xbox 1 HDMI cable though a theater system receiver then to the 3D compatible TV then the theater system receiver must also be 3D compatible. The majority of the receiver out there that are a couple of years old
are not 3D compatible and there for your Xbox will not see that your TV is 3D compatible and it will remain grayed out. If this is the case then try going directly from the Xbox to the TV bypassing the receiver, and then check if your 3D option is now available,
if so then it time to update your receiver.

 

I have a similar issue. Brand new Samsung 3D TV (UA48H6400AWXXY).

I can actually tick the 3D box. It will switch to 3D mode for a few seconds and then switch back and the 3D option would be ticked. When I exit the display settings and go back in the 3D option gets un-ticked. I've repeated it several times and it does the
same thing.

I've set the connection to HDMI instead of Auto, same thing.

I've deselected the 50Hz option, same thing.

Any suggestions?

I can't even get into the Audio Video section. Every time I select it, it takes me right back to the home screen.

 

My problem is different. I have a Mitsubishi 3D tv and I have the 3D option ticked on my tv and the xbox one. The problem is that on all 8 of my active glasses when I look at a 3D movie, I can see the 3D picture for a few seconds then the 3D goes off then
on again. I changed the batteries on all of them just to make sure and still the same issue.

 

My option to Enable 3D doesn't even show up. Same situation, 3D TV, 3D ready receiver, heck, I even threw a 3D Blu-Ray just in case, and, of course, I am running the August update. Hopefully this gets resolved because I was really looking forward to this
feature!

 

I have the same problem than KilRaven67, but with a Samsung 3D TV.

I also hope this gets resolved soon...

 

I have a similar problem to TheSuperMan2010. I don't seem to have the option or cannot find the option to enable the 3D function. Am I missing something?

If you are having the issue where your 3D blu-rays are loading but tell you that they cannot find a 3D device, I have fixed the problem. After talking to support with no definitive answer I preformed a complete system reset. I am in the development program
and had previously installed the new USB video playback app (I will not install again till the official release). Once the system reboots and you set your system up from scratch, I installed the Blu-Ray app. In the settings menu the 3D Allow box was already
checked and I changed no settings. I inserted a 3D disk and I heard sound but no picture. I then preformed a hard off by holding down the power button on the XBOX till it shuts down, turn back on. Load disk again and it went straight to the movie and turned
on the 3D on the TV. Now on to disk game installs. I spent a hour reinstalling my games and went to bed. We I got up I tried playing a game disk no game disk would play. I did some research. I tried playing a Digital Game then loading a game disk but it still
would not play. I then left my game disk in the drive and preformed another hard off by holding down the power button on the XBOX. Turned the system back on and now all game disks work fine. On a side note, the Lego Marvels game glitch where the game crashes
when you try to get vehicles is now fixed. Happy Kids. I hope this helps you all.

 

Seeing as WETWRK007 hopefully resolved you guys for the Samsung issue, I will post up about the glasses being shut off.

For those of you whose glasses are being shut off, you will want to head over to Settings > Kinect and toggle the
Kinect On box so that it is not selected. The Kinect's IR is likely interfering with your glasses. I have also seen some users simply cover their Kinect or turn it around and get the same results.

If that doesn't work for you, please post a new thread so that we can help you out individually.

I had this issue and the following solution worked for me.

Go to Settings>Display & Sound and change the TV connection from Auto detect to HDMI. You will most likely have to adjust your TV resolution back to 1080P from the menu above. You should then be able to check the 'Allow 3D' option.

I covered my Kinect and the issue was resolved with my Samsung TV.

Can we hope a setting to automatically disable Kinect while viewing 3D Blurays?
