Cannot download xbox 360 gold games

I never got to download xbox live 360 gold games. I always thought it was because my region for my xbox one was set to United States and I live in Belgium.

So I set my region to Belgium and xbox 360 also to Belgium where I live.

Now when I want to download forza horizon I still can't do it, it still states it's not possible with my account.

Now can anyone tell me what I can do to get my gold game. This is getting very frustrating and I don't seem to get any solution.

Can someone from the xbox team look at this how it comes I can't download the xbox 360 gold games(I don't have a xbox 360 at my disposal)?

Just downloaded the gold edition of the game but cannot connect my iphone as the controller both the phone and the Xbox are on the same wifi

Backward Compatibility

Every month I download 2 free games on Gold to my Xbox one, but, i cannot download the 360 games from Gold into my Xbox one for backward compatibility. How do i activate my Xbox One to start playing backward compatible 360 games.

 

Ugh that's totally annoying. Have you by chance searched for it in the store then select it and when it shows the price it may just give you an option to install. I've noticed not all games show up on ready to install list all the time(could be my bad internet)

When I look at the subscription page on the settings of my Xbox One it states "Xbox live switch region offer expires on 11/4/2016" is that April 11 2016.

Then when I look with a pc on the xbox site and look at my subscription it states that my xbox live gold expires on 4 November 2016.

When my region was on United States I had not a problem with downloading the Xbox One gold games but not the Xbox 360 games , the last one was Earthlock: Festival of Magic. I also am pretty sure my Gold is not expired till about November (don't know the
exact date), otherwise I also couldn't download the last gam Earthlock and the months before that.

Now that I have switched to Belgium as region (I hate the french text by the way and would like dutch language which isn't possible) I don't know if my gold is gone or if there is something else happening but I can't download forza horizon, it just states
my account is unable to do it.

Now my gold subscription is placed by my nephew on his account (this one) and he isn't 18 yet and I have a parent account, and I have allowed him all the access but I still can't get it to work.

If someone could help from the team it would be great.

 

You cannot download 360 games with gold without an adult account or a 360

Xbox one parental settings don't apply to xbox 360 markrtplace

Xbox one games are region independent as far as games goes and language independent

For xbox 360 most games with gold are region locked your account region must reflect your actual region you can change this Under my account and change my region on this website

After that change it on your console

If you don't match your account region to your actual region you will continue to have issues with downloading xbox 360 games

And the language independence only applies to one games

 

In order to download xbox 360 games with gold you need to have the gold membership home gold doesn't applying to xbox 360

So only the master account can

There is little point for you to have gold on your nephews if they live with you since you will be restricted in his purchases

It is still not resolved.

I have changed all the accounts I have to my region on the website and on the Xbox One.

My nephew (the one with the gold account) has changed his age on the site to 26 so that can't be the problem either(he is almost 17 by the way).

A few years back when I have bought the console I first set up my account (so I think that's the master account) and then I made the account on the same console for my nephew and then use gold membership on his account I think.

The only thing that I can think of that is blocking my purchase of the free games of xbox 360 (gold) is that I have the master account (I don't know how you can see who the master account is) and he is the other account.

So I want to know how you can make my nephew (the one with the gold) the master account and me the other one? We all play on the same console by the way?

This is the only thing I can think of and if you have other suggestions , that would be great.

I have to tell you that Microsoft is making this way to complicated. I hope I have a solution soon.

 

Once created a child account can only age by actually aging. It can't be manipulated by changing the age on the website since anyone could do that. Since he is almost 17, it will be more than a year until the account is promotable to an adult account. The
system knows this and won't be fooled by falsely stating an age it isn't entitled to.

That IS the whole issue here, the fact that the Gold account is still held by a minor. Period.

The only way to resolve this is to have an adult account with Gold or download to an actual Xbox 360.

 

The solution as I mentioned before is quite simple

You must put gold on the adult account as me and my colleague mentioned

You cannot change the age of an accont by changing on the ma account or changing the ms account

I changed everthing from regions for nothing now, all because I chose the wrong account for setting up gold when even xbox 360 backcompatibility didn't exist. There must be someone who can just change it to this account which I am writing with (my nephews

Its really frustrating that such a simple problem cannot be easily resolved.

 

Other than what you have been told there is no other solution. The only solution is to buy another Gold subscription for yourself or download the games with an Xbox 360.

Gold isn't transferable. It doesn't matter if you were able to change the master account your account still won't have gold which is required to download Games with Gold.

I am totally serious about the wait till he turns 18 years old. Microsoft is too unless you want to follow the solutions already given.

This simple problem CAN be easily solved. You need to buy another Gold subscription for yourself and apply it to your game tag. Once you have Gold, designate the console as YOUR Home console and the issue will be solved.

You could of course wait until the current Gold expires or buy a 3 month card to apply to your own account, but 14 day trials and such won't work or qualify you to download GWG going forward.

The marketplace controls are there for a reason

Bypassing them is a serious violation of the terms of use
