    Cannot Download,Update, or Install anything since 10 AM yesterday


    So i have contacted support MANY times now and have gotten NOWHERE. i have opened all the ports that i can and neither my pc, or xbox 360 are having any issues, just my xb1. i am at a dead end and as of now my xbox is pretty useless to me.

  2. Market place downloads taking 20-30 minutes to even start

    Hey,

    What's going on with xbox live market place? ( Im in Australia) I cannot seem to download anything or install updates for market place. Does not matter what game, what update it just sits there on 0%.

    Disappointed

    its not 100% but your not downloading games if your on disk... your installing and its in no way 2 hours... if your talking about a game with massive updates(neverwinter) maybe 2 hours to download and install every update since launch...

    Hi Wizard! Can you do us a favor? On your Xbox One, press the menu button, go to Settings, and then go to Network. From here, at the right side, choose "Detailed Network Statistics." Let us know the details from that test. This will run the Xbox One's speed
    test utility, and should help figure out whether it is a problem with your Xbox even SEEING the network connection (i.e. not getting through the router) or if it's a problem with your console's connection to Xbox Live and the Marketplace. Let us know!

    Okay... your latency is fairly high, but since you're getting valid D/L & U/L numbers, that indicates it's not your connection/router/ISP. Since you have an X1 and 360 on the same network, it could be that they are competing for port numbers. The X1 has
    more ports to forward than 360, but all of the ones used by 360 are also used by One, so that might be it.

    A couple of things to try - your Router should have something called UPnP (Universal Plug & Play.) This needs to be turned ON in any setup which has multiple Xboxes (or any other devices that might compete for the same ports) to allow the devices to use
    those ports as-needed without interfering with each other.

    Option 2 is more of a "nuclear option," but as security isn't a problem on the console itself, this is also an option - you could place the IP address of your Xbox One in what's called a DMZ, which basically opens all ports for that address.

    Lastly, I've heard of some folks who, in multiple-Xbox setups, have had success using something called Port Triggering, which operates differently than Forwarding. Now, there isn't a vast database out there of Router Models and how to setup port triggering
    (like there is for Port Forwarding) but if you search the web for your specific router model and "port triggering," I'm certain you'll find info. Let us know!

    i have opened every port that i am suppose to, and i completely unplugged my 360. this makes no sense that it is my internet since i've have the same exact set up since i bought my xbox one day 1. My friend who lives 45 minutes away and with a completely
    different internet service with no xbox 360 is having the SAME exact issue after buying the same exact game during the sale. that really does not seem like a coincidence.

    Update i finally factory set my console..... now i have no apps or anything and cannot download a single thing!!! My xbox is now officially 100% useless until this *** gets fixed!

    You didn't mention that there was a specific game you had purchased which you believe might have caused the problem. Since you and your friend both had the same issue after purchasing the same game, this does seem like one possible lead to follow, especially
    since there were a number of problems listed on the Xbox Status page yesterday related to the game sale and various content purchasing issues.

    Unfortunately, since this is more of a specialized issue that only the engineers might know something about, we're fairly out of troubleshooting steps to try here. I would suggest calling Xbox Support (again) and giving them the specific information about
    when it happened and what game you purchased that seemed to start the issues, as it now sounds like a repair might be necessary.

    Yeah I actually didn't find out that I knew more people that had this issue with after buying that game until after the post. Im just going to either wait it out and see if it gets fixed, or get a refund I guess
