Cannot download the free 360 games for gold from Xbox ONE

I can´t download the free 360 games for gold from Xbox ONE because every time if I want to download it on Xbox ONE or web it says: With this account could not be able to do this purchase. Please try it on Xbox. Or something like this. Please help me, thank
you.

Backward Compatibility

Every month I download 2 free games on Gold to my Xbox one, but, i cannot download the 360 games from Gold into my Xbox one for backward compatibility. How do i activate my Xbox One to start playing backward compatible 360 games.

I have the same problem, and I am quite tired of this.

I have xbox one + gold membership, but cannot download free game for xbox 360

 

It's an easy fix first your account is a child account that's why you are receiving the error

You have two options

First have a parent account make the purchase

Or use an xbox 360 to make the purchase

 

Yeah, I know that but I´m older than 18 because my parents wrote a bad birth date when they founded my account, I have all the permissions as an adult but Microsoft still understands my account as a child. So is there a way how I can change it?

 

Not until you turn 18 on your account or follow the suggestion above

 

And is here a way how I can share my Xbox Live Gold with parental account?

 

You don't they parental account must have their own gold as home gold is an xbox one feature

 

You may be able to change the date of birth on your account:

You are an adult but your account is categorised as a child account

i have a similar problem...i simpply cant buy the free 360 games from the web and my xbone. i get a message saying i got no paying method...regardless of the game being FREE..sigh

 

Unless you are downloading it on the 360 you need a payment method linked to your account,even if it's a free game.

 

i thought they had patched this... so we could buy free 360 games on the xbone without credit cards and such

 

Not as far as I know.

You'll need a credit/debit card or paypal account linked to your account if you want to download the 360 gwg from your xbox one.

 

No even in the beta test u still have to have a creditcard on file

It only made it easier to buy games by using the marketplace but keep in mind it's the webmarketplace with an xbox store frontend with completely different requirements as xbox one

 

Examples are your locale of the marketplace is based on your account region and if you have a different console region then your actual region it will cause problems including region locks and split billing if you add a different billing option then your
account region

Xbox 360 marketplace has different requirements including parental and regional settings neither of which are the same on xbox one

You cannot change your regional settings on their fly on xbox 360 and doing so causes problems including region locks

Also parental settings there is no unrestricted setting on xbox 360

So the marketplace must still check within the parental accounr
