Cannot Download Profile

Support ran me in circles for hours. Finally met a nice guy who gave me a one month code to play with a new account until the issue is fixed. As far as I can tell, the issue occurs when downloading the info from .gpd files onto your account. It always hangs
up on the "downloading game info" part.

Things I've tried:

• Clearing the cache A LOT of times in succession
• Checking (and resetting to factory default) my DNS and IP.
• Deleting the profile
• Making alt. emails for my MS account
• Changing my security proofs
• Turning off 2-step verification (never had it on)
• Plugging directly into my router.
• Downloading to a USB (still froze)
• Downloading on separate consoles (froze)

Support seems to have no clue whats going on with this, and it's starting to urk me. I have a lot of time and money invested into my account, and I need to be online for tournaments and live streams that I make actual $$$ on.

Things I've noted:

• Always hangs up about 3/4 the way through
• Downloads the profile almost instantly
• Can never finish downloading my game info
• Shows me signed in on the dash in the background (I can see my live feed in the top right)
  
• I can play offline, but only on 2 of my 41 installed games (Using an XBOX Arcade)
  
• Other games do not load and ask to be signed into the license owners account
• The system's internal clock is permanently reset to always start at 6:00 AM
• The profile SOMETIMES saves, but only 4MB of it's usual 18 - 24MB
• Connecting to XBL with the partially downloaded profile causes an error reading "Your profile was not downloaded entirely..." etc.
  

Any help or at least official updates would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm not alone on this issue.

So i tried t connect to the internet but it didnt let me. I deleted my profile and when i tried to redownload it from x/live it said that profiles cannot be downloaded, at the bottom it said the code
800704cd. Please help!!

 

Red Dead Redemption Error Message Help

I popped in my copy of RDR and everything went fine, but when I got to the main menu it stated I had to download a profile in order to save.

So I sign in, get the "hi Tony72495!" message, and it starts downloading my profile info.

Then when it gets to about 75%, an error message pops up that says "Sorry, Xbox Live profiles cannot be downloaded right now. Try again later" and I'm kicked back to the start menu.

I'm using the 2 disc GOTY edition of that makes any difference.

 

I am having the exact same issue and have tried all of the same solutions to no avail, this is very frustrating.

 

I have the same problem mine started yesterday and also what i noticed is that when usually downloading a profile its says hi (gamertag) downloading profile then downloading game info then downloading Avatar info and mine as your guys gets 3/4 of the way
restarts the download 3 times and gets same error as you guys and it looks like to me its about to or have finished downloading game info and is meant to download avatar info next and i reckon that's were the error is did you guys happen to before you downloaded
your profile go into the avatar store and it updated and since then this problem has occurred ? cause i think that's what has done it to mine could be wrong but that was the last thing i did before i tried to recover my account

 

It started for me when I saved my avatar. It froze up my console after it saved and I was forced to delete the profile. Seems like this isnt a .gpd problem as much as it is an avatar problem. My avatar DOES show whenever the profile partially downloads.

 

I called in yesterday with the same prob. spent a few hours working with Micro. CCS to see what the problem is, they don't know for sure. I've got the same problem toast and error code 80072EFE is an Xbox "one" related issue funny how it's showing up on
my "360". Thing is, I can download any other profile but not mine and my profile can't be downloaded onto any other console same deal, gets hung up on game info but when I download my buddies profile it took all of 2 min. And sometimes my avatar shows up during
log on floating there saying "signed in". I can even follow my profile on xbox.com to see what I'm doing even though I'm not using that profile <<. will say playing xbox dash or playing playonline and so on. just sounds to me like not all the data was deleted
that should have been and now its causing major issues especially now that I can't play FF XI without my profile Grrr.

 

They did say they shot the problem up to the head puzzle solvers so hopefully won't be long before they come up with a solution.

 

me too,same thing exactly around 75% it gives error 80072efe,day 3 now,getting angry,we should have some sort of restitution here,its just not right for it to take days to get your profile that u pay for back!!!

 

Hmm this is a brainwave but maybe it has something to do if your gamertag is on a xbox one and you want to recover it to 360 it won't let you.

Thats just a suggestion don't know if it is really the issue here.

I was going to give out some suggestions and Solutions but after reading all these posts.
I`m going to test it myself. I`ve Moved My Xbox Profile To my Other Xbox 360 Console at the moment so i`m not stuck without an Account to Sign-In due to this problem.

I`ve now deleted my Xbox profile From my Console. I`ve now
Restarted My Xbox 360 Console and have now Clear your Xbox 360 system cache. Attempt to download my profile back to your console, It Can never finish downloading my game info.

It then says (Xbox Live) Sorry, Xbox Live Profiles Can`t Be Downloaded Right Now. Try Again Later.
80072746 This confirms that this has nothing to do with you or your console. This problem is on there behalf and Not Yours.

 

Of course it's on there behalf. Theres now multiple threads with hundreds of posts each about this, and not a single rep has posted anything about it.
