    Cannot download profile when loading back-compat games


    I have recently changed my gamertag, I have the new format of gamertag with the suffix at the end. Ever since i changed it, whenever i attempt to play a backwards compatable game, my profile does not appear on the 360 guide and whenever i click "download
    profile", i enter my details, click my profile, it loads for a bit then comes up with an error message reading: "sorry, there's a problem with the credentials that you're using to sign in." It gives the error code 80151904. any suggestions to fix this problem?

    I have tried this nearly a hundred times over the past few days to no avail. 95% of the time it says it cannot connect to xbox live, even though my xbox is connected, and when it diesnt say that it just says wrong credentials

    Hi EDP,

    Thanks for coming to the Xbox forums. We want you to try and update the 360 profile. To do this follow these steps:

    1. Launch a 360 game on Xbox One.
    2. Hit the menu and back button together to pull up the 360 emulators.
    3. go to download profile even if your profile shows.
    4. enter the credentials for your account.
    This updates the 360 profile, personally had the same issue as you couldn't launch any BC game. Soon as I did this I was able to play. Try this and let us know.

    Edit - I have just tried to do it again and now it is saying it cannot connect to xbox live, even though my console is connected

    Same problem, Works fine on Xbox one but 360 and backwards compatable does not allow online play. Tried all the "experts" recommendations and now can not even download my profile to the backwards compatable game when it loads, 2 hrs wasted
