Cannot download profile on ANY backwards compatible game

Hey, guys! If you have an Xbox One and an Xbox 360 on the same network, this is likely causing your issue. Disconnect your 360 from your router and power cycle your router, leaving it off for 5 minutes to reset routing properties. If you have any ports forwarded
for it, you will need to remove those. Once you have done that, turn on your Xbox One *only* and try again. Let us know if that works!

Survey submitted... Some games work offline but some like Doom wont even get past the press start screen with being sign in

 

Hyperion helped me out. I have a IPv6 connection which is not compatible with 360. Inputted my ISP's DNS numbers into my Xbox and it worked. #2 was my problem and likely is the solution for others

This is usually a network problem that's causing the failure to download the profile. Remember that the 360s back then only used IPv4 connections. Xbox One consoles can sometimes pick up and use IPv6 connections, leaving the 360 side of your console (the
360 dashboard) unable to connect. There's no concrete solution to this issue yet but you can try these:

1. Power cycle your console, router, and modem (make sure that all cables are disconnected for at least a minute or so)

2. Change the console DNS to your ISP's provided DNS or the usual 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 DNS to connect to a public DNS setting. Alternatively, if you do not want to mess with your console settings, do this on your router settings instead.

3. Clear your MAC Address (go to Settings > All Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > MAC Address > Clear Alternate MAC (this should re-establish a connection with your current network, however, do this only if your console is unable to connect the net)

I have a IPv4 connection, but mine still presists. Sometimes, I can connect to live for me to download but in the middle of download, live will cancel me and say that I have been disconnected to live.

 

sir I'm from the Philippines and I am a first time xbox one user, I recently bought a xbox one phat version cause I heard your backwards compatibility is a great way to play games like red dead and far cry 3 which I bought separately as xbox 360 games, I
downloaded the patch and still when I play your xbox live can't download my profile and I tried it for 20 more times and I tell you this is very frustrating. PS I have always been a PS 4 guy and I tried to buy your product for a change and all I get are network
issues, sir please fix your backwards compatibility. I am still downloading my profile whenever I try to play far cry 3 and I can't get past the download profile window, pls I would really appreciate your help because if you won't you would lose a lot of customers

I have been having the exact same problem. Some people have said to sign out of Xbox Live and try to download the profile. When I do, the game closes and it does not allow me to start it until I am signed in. With my backwards compatible dics that's I do
own, it still does not allow me to do anything. I bring up the guide by pressing the "double window" and the menu key together and try to download the profile manually, but I get an message that says that it "Can't connect to Xbox Live. Select Test Connection
to troubleshoot your connection." My connection is fine. I went though my router settings and everything is as it should be. Not sure how to fix the problem.

 

This worked for me as well i just changed my dns and secondary dns to 8.8.8.8 and reset my mac adress. The console reset and worked better than b4. Im getting all dlc working which didnt b4. Thanx. Dont get intimidated by the process, its pretty simple
if i can do it.
