  1. Cannot download/play games that I own (Backwards Compatibility issue POST UPDATE?)

Hello, I am creating this post rather than continuously posting on a different thread, due to my problem becoming increasingly more frustrating as time goes on.

Originally, I had uninstalled the game "So Many Me" - a Games with Gold game in the past. By purchasing the game, whether it was free or not free, I become the owner of the game, aka I own the license to play the game. Interestingly enough, after uninstalling
it I found that I could no longer reinstall it without paying full price. After going through a series of steps with XBOX Customer Support, nothing seemed to work; here are the steps I had engaged in:

    1. Turning off xbox and unplugging it from the wall/outlet, and leaving it off for approximately 30 seconds and turning it back on.
    2. Resetting my router/internet, while also having my xbox unplugged.
    3. Deleting my account and redownloading it to my xbox.
    4. Searching the game in the "store" rather than looking in "My Games and Apps - Ready to be Installed"
    5. A few other "standard" troubleshooting steps
So, I was told to wait and see what happens. Later on, I was able to redownload it - awesome. Now, when I tried to launch Dark Souls 1 (a backwards compatible game), it asks me whether or not I own this game or app, and to view it in the store. I figured
    - "wow that's really strange - let's do the standard step of uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, that should fix it." After uninstalling the game, I find that it is not in the "Ready to be Installed" tab under "My Games and Apps." Strangely enough,
when I went to the XBOX marketplace on the XBOX one, it would pull up the game, but it wouldn't have a "already installed" button, a "purchase" button, or anything of that nature. So, I went onto the XBOX site instead to see the game - it says that I already
have purchased this game for 360 (which, means I can play it on the one as well). After attempting to "download the game to my 360" which should also make it available on the XBOX one, it still does not appear. So, I figure, I just have to wait again.

So, to pass the time I figure lets play a game that I DO have on my Xbox - Banjo Tooie. Again, the same message. In the store, it says that I already own the game and may play it, and I may also check the price. Well, that's frustrating...
let's try Halo: Reach. Same exact thing happens. The pattern? This is happening with all of my backwards compatible games. Ironically enough, this has only happened after the new preview dashboard
    update
brought to the xbox one - so I'm fairly certain that this is the cause. Ironically enough, my game DVR has been acting a little strange as well, but that's irrelevant to my discussion, and is still functioning at almost maximum potential as
    before the update.

I haven't uninstalled any of my other games that are having this issue, there's simply no point in risking it, as I am almost certain that it will do the same exact thing that is currently happening with Dark Souls 1. However, I DO know that I deserve to
play the games of my desire that I do own - after all, I purchased them with my money to play them, and that is what I desire to do. Unfortunately, I cannot do that until XBOX sorts out whatever problem is going on on their end, which I am certain involves
    the newest updates.

I want to play the games that I own, and I most certainly do not want to purchase them again, especially at the risk of wasting money on a game that will give me the exact same message. Because of this, not only can I not play any of the games I own that
are backwards, but this also stops me from purchasing any other backwards games until this is resolved, due to the fact that I cannot play any of them.

Solve this issue as soon as possible please.

    :)

  2. Red Dead Redemption - Backward Compatibility Game Purchase Issue

I purchased Red Dead Redemption backward compatibility for the 360 game that I already own. Each time that I play, I am immediately disconnected from Xbox live and cannot save progress. I tried to log in to my old 360 profile, and it still does not work.

  5. I'm having the same issue. I had Castlevania SOTN on my 360 and the achievements even show up in my gamer score but it's not in my ready to install list and I can't buy it again off the marketplace, it tries to charge the $9.99 again which I tried but it
just processes and then goes back to the purchase screen without charging me. I tried to buy it off my Microsoft account on my computer but it says I've bought already and is under my ready to install list which its not. I don't get it

    Hello all,

There was an update to the preview program that went out today that should have fixed this.

If your consoles have not yet downloaded it automatically, go to Settings and start the update manually. This should fix your issues.

Let us know how you get on.

No Visible Game Updates With External HDD Plugged In

This did not address my question at all. My issue is NOT that I cannot play games off my external HDD. I am aware I can only play backwards compatible games of my HDD.

The issue is that the system will not show me any available updates for EITHER the backwards compatible games on my HDD OR the updates for the Optimized games on my internal drive when the HDD is plugged in.
