Cannot download halo games(and probably a lot others) after activating game pass for pc

Kindly sign out and sign back in on your Xbox App. That should do the trick.

They are playing on PC as well and with Game Pass Ultimate. I have Game Pass Ultimate and the game downloaded but cannot play with them because I did not download through the Microsoft Store?

As far as I am aware, there is no cross platform play between Steam and Xbox when it comes to Ark, so your Steam version cannot communicate with their Game Pass version of the game. You would have to download the Game Pass version of the game and start fresh
there in order to play with other people using the Game Pass version.

Most likely demand is too high to get a fast download at the moment. It's new and lots of users are trying to download it.

If other games download normally from Game Pass on PC, then demand will be the issue.

Going to try downloading it later on my PC. Will let you know.

Sadly, games cannot be transferred between PC and Xbox, there are differences in the filesystems and even if it could be done, would probably not run the game correctly. The only other suggestion would be to wait past you cap to download the games.

Delete the online pass if you downloaded the free one off of Xbox Live as the online pass is included with the game already. A lot of people had this issue. The games on demand version includes the online pass in the download but a lot of people also download
the online pass for free off of the marketplace or in store and it causes the online passes to butt heads with each other and make it freeze...after deleting the online pass you should be in there like swimwear.
