Cannot download games on game pass

So basically I've had the same Microsoft account since I was about 15 years old. That being said I am now a 29 year old man wanting to play some games and the xbox app says I'm not allowed to download certain games due to restrictions on my account. So my question is how do I change it so that I have free access to the games?

They are playing on PC as well and with Game Pass Ultimate. I have Game Pass Ultimate and the game downloaded but cannot play with them because I did not download through the Microsoft Store?

As far as I am aware, there is no cross platform play between Steam and Xbox when it comes to Ark, so your Steam version cannot communicate with their Game Pass version of the game. You would have to download the Game Pass version of the game and start fresh
there in order to play with other people using the Game Pass version.

Xbox 360 games on game pass can only be downloaded on the Xbox One & Xbox Series consoles. You cannot download them to an Xbox 360 as the console does not support game pass.

Is it correct that when im signed out, my son cannot download any games from game pass?

As it says join game pass and join live etc on his account. But, up to now, the already downloaded game pass games load up and he can play online.
