    Cannot "download content with this rating"


    Ok so I made the fatal mistake of putting my actual age on my account several years ago. Because of this I can't download M rated games and such...I've managed to create alternate silver accounts to download demos but this one demo in particular requires
    a xbox live gold account (which I have) and it's only available in the U.S currently. I find it stupid that I pay for xbox live gold yet I'm restricted to download free demos and games because they are "too violent". I play those games on the daily but I cannot
    download them apparently. This game I wanted to download is rated T anyways so how can I not download it? I'm 16 btw so if anyone knows how I can download this demo that would be great....also, why can't I download T rated games?

    I can't download bf4 or any R rated games.

    It says "this account is not permitted to download content with this rating" even thought I put the settings to adult.

    Downloading demos in the marketplace

    I'm trying to download the Devil May Cry demo on the marketplace but everytime I click download it insteads tells me "this account is not permitted to download content with this rating" even though I have already allowed all game ratings in my family security
    settings.

    Try changing your online privacy settings but you may need a parental email and password, baring that you would need to wait until you are 18 and then the parental microsoft account holder can promote you.

    yeah you can download M rated content but any demos/trailers of anything rated M or RP (rating pending) cannot be downloaded unless it is an adult content. would not matter what settings were set to, sorry Corpse :(.

    That is not true. I cannot download M-rated content, no matter whether it is a demo or not. I am listed as "adult" in the Privacy and Online Settings, even though I am only 15. My email reflects that, and because of that, I cannot download M-rated content.

    you should be allowed to download M rated games and add on content as long as the parental controls allow it, but what you cannot download on a child account is demos for M rated or RP (ratings pending) games or videos.
