Refer these steps:

Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
Run the Windows Store apps troubleshooter

Method 2: Perform System File Check (SFC), and then check if this fixes the issue.
Follow the steps:

a. Press “Windows Key + Q” to open Charms Bar.

b. Type “cmd” without quotes in the search box.

c. On the left pane, right click on the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”.

d. Type ‘sfc /scannow’ without quotes and hit enter.

Note: It may ask for windows installation DVD to fix and to enable SFC to make more than minor repairs. Some files saved on your computer might get deleted when fixing corrupted files.

Method 3: Reset Store Cache.

a) Press the “Win Logo” + “R”

b) Type: WSReset.exe and press “Enter”.

c) Restart the computer and check.

Also, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app again."

Right-click the active network interface and select the Properties option.

Select and check the “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” option.

Click the Properties button.
Select the “Use the following DNS server addresses” option.”

Then, for the primary address, insert 1. 1. 1. 1 and then this other one, 1. 0. 0. 1 for the alternate.
Restart your PC before trying again.

Note: You may want to try with 8. 8. 8. 8 and 8. 8. 4. 4 as well.

3. Run PowerShell as administrator.
4. On PowerShell (run as administrator), copy and paste the command below:

D. Repair Windows Store and update components.

Open PowerShell with Admin or CMD with Admin (Press Windows key + X then click Windows PowerShell(Admin))

yes, I have reset everything. I can download anything on my PC from Steam, just anything Microsoft store related refuses to download.

I started coming across the issue a week ago, but it might've been longer then that, I wasn't playing games from Microsoft store or from Xbox store for a while, and I wasn't downloading anything from there for a while.

No other error codes, just either cannot download stuff through MS store, or getting the "download gaming services" issue.

I've been paying for game pass for over a year now, but I haven't ever downloaded anything from it, this is the first time I've tried to download stuff from it.

The version and edition of my PC are currently: version 22H2 (OS build 19045.2728)

Windows 10 Home operating system

I've tried all of those troubleshooting tips, none have worked.
