    Cannot control my Panasonic satellite TV Box via Kinect


    Hey there,

    I own a DMR-BST835 from Panasonic. The profile is available in the Xbox One when I set up a TV Box. There is even a (Mode2) and (Mode3) Option. However the Xbox One would only shut down my TV Box and not boot it. Switching channels isn't working too. I tried
    all the different options and none would work.

    Any suggestions what to do?

    How does the TV thing even work? How can Kinect control a satellite box? Also I assume I can plug in a freeview hd box and although not control via kinect, notifications appear on top of the picture?

    Can I connect a freeview HD box and control it via the HDMI passthrough?

    Can I connect an aerial to the TV tuner to receive freeview channels and control them with my voice?

    Can I connect a satellite/coax cable to the TV tuner to receive Sky channels and control them with my voice? Or can I only connect a box via HDMI?

    It had better be. I use Smartglass to control my tv cause my kids (and in turn, the dog) broke my satellite box controller

    I have same problem IR burst too short for panasonic tv. Also where is the STB on/off function in the UK firmware. I know we cant change channels yet but at least let us turn the satellite box on and off.

    I want to bring this back from the dead. I have a samsung hw-f450za, and an LG TV. Xbone elite is able to control my satellite receiver and tv no issues. Everything is connected via HDMI. I tend to use my xbox media remote to control tv, volume, etc.
    i have to hit the volume, mute buttons twice to change it. problem is of course, when turning the console on and off, tv turns off, sat box turns off, but soundbar doesnt. also, through kinect commands, i have to say commands for volume and mute twice in
    quick succession.

    any fixes for this?

    I forgot to add the most important thing is to get your cable box recognized by going to 1. settings 2.TV & oneguide 3. device control 4. Cable and satellite box 5. Search for your box or manually use satellite box remote control
