    Cannot connect Xbox Series controller to Windows 10 wirelessly


    Hello, I am trying to connect a new Xbox Series controller to my Windows 10 PC. To do this, I have purchased a new USB bluetooth adapter and the Xbox Wireless USB adapter, but the controller does not connect via either.

    Note that other devices are able to connect to my PC via the USB bluetooth adapter without issue. Also, the controller is able to connect to a different PC without issue via that PC's built in bluetooth adapter and the USB bluetooth adapter I just bought.

    The controller shows up in the bluetooth "add a device" menu as Xbox Wireless Controller, but selecting it yields "We didn't get any response from the device. Try connecting again". The controller does not show up at all in the Everything Else "add a device" menu (connect via Xbox Wireless adapter).

    Things that I have done:

    -Fully update Windows 10

    -Reinstall and fully update bluetooth drivers

    -Update Xbox Wireless adapter drivers (no updates found)

    -Install Xbox Accessories app and update the controller's firmware via USB cable

    -Lots of power cycling the PC

    -unplug other USB devices and displays to the minimum needed to use the PC (a monitor, keyboard and mouse)

    I'm out of ideas; any suggestions? TIA

    Hi Ricardo,

    Yes, that's the one. When I try to pair, I press the button until the little white LED on the adapter blinks and on the controller until the Xbox button flashes quickly.

    Great, once you press both buttons, they should pair, what happens with your devuces, keeps blinking or finally both stopped blinking?

    They keep blinking. I've got them right near each other, but they don't pair.

    The controller does not show up in the Everything Else "add a device" menu (connect via Xbox Wireless adapter) either.

    I don't have an Xbox console to try that step, but I did the other ones without any success.
