    Cannot connect Xbox One to Dragon Age Inquisition


    I played 12 hours yesterday. When I restarted my Xbox One today, I received the cannot connect to servers" message. I stopped DA:I, and tested my network settings. Other Apps thru the Xbox are working fine. I tried DA:I again - black screen. I ejected
    my disc and reinserted, restarting DA:I. I get the message, "press the menu button." I press the menu button and the game stops ... music and sound continue for a while, but eventually black screen.

    I've waited years for this game. It is not only the first game I have ever preordered, but the first I've bought within 3 months of release. I was really enjoying the game. But now I realize how smart it was to wait for the kinks to be worked out.

    Ok, dont' blame DA:I, Bioware. or EA .... none of my games on the Xbox One get past "press to start". My Xbox 360 games work however ... I even played multiplayer.

    I found a thread with the answer. Unplug your Xbox One! Plug it back in the completely restart it. It worked for me.

After researching your issue extensively, I discovered this issue and the solution via The Dragon Age: Inquisition support page Dragon Age: Inquisition Save Importer (ea.com). On the site, scroll down to Migrating Your Dragon Age: Inquisition Savegame and Profile on Xbox. Here is some additional information on this specific issue.

    Xbox consoles:

    • If you have preorder promotional items or Flames of the Inquisition items installed on your Xbox 360 console at the time of the export, you can import the savegame data on your Xbox One console.
      • If you do not have the same content installed on your Xbox One console, the save game loads, and you must equip alternate equipment and/or armor.
      • If you have the same content installed on your Xbox One console, the savegame loads as it appeared on the Xbox 360 console.
    Xbox consoles:

    • An online connection.
    • An Xbox 360 console system with a Dragon Age: Inquisition savegame.
    • A copy of Dragon Age: Inquisition for Xbox 360 with The Black Emporium free DLC pack installed.
    • Logged into your EA account in Dragon Age: Inquisition for your Xbox 360 console.
    • An Xbox One console.
    • A copy of Dragon Age: Inquisition for Xbox One with The Black Emporium free DLC pack installed.
    • Logged into your EA account in Dragon Age: Inquisition for your Xbox One console.
    Finally, the EA Play, Game Pass version of Dragon Age Inquisition is not the Ultimate or Game of the year edition. It is the base game.     Hello everyone :)

    I will not be buying anymore Xbox One games becuase I am going all in for the Destiny Expansion DLCs.

    I will be skipping " Dragon Age Inquisition " until I beat Dragon Age 2. If I don't beat Dragon Age 2, then I will not be getting Dragon Age Inquisition at all.

    At the moment, there are no games coming out that have my attention.
