Cannot connect xbox live profile with existing e-mail to current e-mail

I have been trying to access my Xbox Live account with the current e-mail adress I'm using on Microsoft's website as usual, but when I went on the xbox section, it told me I had no account (despite having an existing one for nearly 6 years now). If I cannot
access my account, I cannot link it to my Rockstar's Social Club account, and thus will loose all the progress I've made on GTA Online.

Does anyone know how to link my old Xbox account to this e-mail again? I've spent a day trying to figure it out without any success.

Can you sign in Xbox live with a different E-mail account?

So, I have already an Xbox Live user and my E-mail account I used to sign in Xbox Live is about to close. Can I use a different E-mail account to sign in Live with the same user?

It's important, because I have all my achievements/ plus friends in this user and I cannot try it out, because I have not created another E-mail account, yet.

Check your e-mail address with xbox live and check your e-mail address you're making your purchase with on xbox.com

Are they the same? I "purchased" gears of war 3 easily.

Is the Gamertag you see pictured on this post the one that you are used to seeing when you sign into your Microsoft account? If not, please double check that you are using the correct email address (including domain! Such as Hotmail vs Outlook) and then

the problem is with the e-mail account connected to my account. I need to update it to my current e-mail but i cannot login to the current e-mail connected to it, causing a whole heap of problems for me.

Hello,

If you cannot access the e-mail that's currently associated with the gamertag you wish to change the e-mail of then you will need to fill out the Microsoft Account Recovery form located
here.

As far as I know, that is the only other way once you lose access to the e-mail itself and cannot change the e-mail from the console. In order to change the e-mail yourself you need to have access to the e-mail currently on file.

If that old e-mail no longer exists, create a new e-mail and change the WLID on the Xbox LIVE account to the new e-mail.
