Cannot connect XBox 360 Controller to PC (failed installation driver)

Hi,
I have an Xbox 360 Slim w/250GB Storage.
I have a working original Xbox 360 Controller (black), and its driver installation is giving me problems.
P.S.: I do not have a "Charge & Play" Cable for the Xbox 360 Controller
But I have a few questions,
Q1 - Do I still require a Wireless Dongle to connect to the PC even after installing the Driver?
Q2 - How Do I install/add it as a Driver? Apparently, my PC is not able to recognize it even after troubleshooting.
Q3 - Will it unpair from my Xbox 360 Slim if I connect it to the PC?

If it's a wired controller, then just connect via the USB connection, and Windows should install the driver for you. If it is wireless controller, then you will need the official Xbox 360 wireless controller adapter for PC.

When you say 'remote' I guessing you mean your Xbox 360 controller on your PC?

Is your 360 controller a wired controller? If you've attempted to connect a wireless controller via a play and charge it won't work as the play and charge doesn't transfer data, it just charges the battery or powers the controller.

There are no drivers to install on Windows 10 as the drivers for all Xbox controllers are already included in the OS.

What is al driver? And windows 10 is already their in my laptop.

Once you connect your controller to your PC, Windows should prompt you to install the drivers.

If nothing happens, open Store on your PC and install "Xbox Accessories" app. Then connect your Xbox One Controller, and check whether there are any updates. If there are then update the controller.

Solution 2: Update Xbox 360 Controller drivers

If the Xbox 360 Controller not connected or not working error persists on your PC, it turns out the fact that the Xbox 360 Controller drivers are experiencing some problems, therefore, you would better update the Xbox 360 Controller wireless or wired drivers to the latest version to avoid the driver corruption, missing or interference.

• Go to Device manager.
  
• Expand the Xbox 360 Peripherals and find out Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows 10.
  
  Here if you cannot find the right driver for Xbox 360 Controller, maybe you can find it in Other Devices or Network adapters.
  
• Right click Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows and choose to Uninstall it.
  
• Click Scan for hardware changes or just restart your PC, then Windows 10 will automatically install a new Xbox 360 Controller driver.
