Cannot connect with "Chat With Microsoft" via webpage.

I have an issue with family security - I cannot remember the details I set up three years ago. Website then recommends that I "Chat with Microsoft" - Great! However the page will not allow me to fill in my name (greyed out) but has my MS account email pre-filled.
I have checked my Microsoft account and my name is in there, but does not populate on the support page. Any ideas?

"Chat with Microsoft" in support problem

I am trying to use the 'chat with microsoft' feature in support but I am stuck because the first and last name fields are required to proceed but I cannot enter anything in the fields!

Please help before I gather every microsoft product I own and throw them in the bin. I'm at the end of my rope here.

Me too. This is BS considering it's a MS Xbox, a MS browser and a MS webpage.

this may be caused by missing account details on account.microsoft.com, please check if all information is correct.

If you did update the details, be sure to sign out of your account and open a new browser page via inPrivate/Incognito browsing (IE, Firefox press Ctrl+Shift+P and for Chrome use Ctrl+Shift+N) and try the chat with MS again.

If that also fails then the only option is to contact Xbox Support by Phone, use this link for the region specific Phone number:

support.xbox.com/contact-us Be sure to check if the country in the bottom left corner is the country you are present in.

This might be because you possibly didn't add a vaild payment option (like a credit card, bank account or PayPal) to your account.

Please check at Sign in to your Microsoft account that you have a valid payment option and that your name of that payment account option matches your desired name.
