"Cannot connect to your DHCP server"

Hello,

I have been having intermittent problems with connecting to my wi-fi since Wednesday last week, but as of this morning it no longer lets me connect at all. It is very frustrating as all my media runs through the Xbox One (why wouldn't it?) and obviously
every game and app requires an element of internet connection to play.

I have followed all the tutorials but the router is shared in a house with Fibre internet that works fine on all other devices including a PC and PS4 (surprisingly now outshining my console!).

I have already:

1. Tried setting a static IP
2. Reset the router
3. Restarted the xbox
4. Manually reset all internet settings
5. Deleted old devices from the router
6. Checked for all firmware updates
7. Cleared MAC address

I can't run a cable from the router to the Xbox, as I dont have the cabling and would not want to inconvenience the rest of my house. The Xbox has been in the same location for about a year and I have not experienced any issues like this so far. I've finally
reached the end of my tether having just bought The Division and not been able to play it!

Hello, I appreciate this is a bit of a bump but thought I'd shed some light onto my solution for this.

I'd been trying for a couple of days to solve this and to no avail, I am using a BT Home Hub 2.0 Software version 4.7.5.1.83.2.11.2.6 (Type B) and tried all manner of tweaks with the Hub Manager for my wireless Xbox One connection. My MacBook, iPhone and
other wifi devices all connected perfectly but my Xbox One wouldn't.

As a last resort I restored my router to factory defaults and it connected straight away after turning it on. I made sure to create a backup of my router settings before I did this, but everything is working fine for now.

What is the make and model of your wireless router?

Is your Xbox One "directly" connected wireless with your wireless router, or do you use an access point to extend your WLAN.

Can you also state which security method you're using (WEP/WPA/WPA2), along with its enryption method.
