Cannot connect to Xbox live

For about 3 days now I haven't been able to connect to XBL with my 360. It goes through the connection process and can see the internet, but it can't complete the final step and connect to Live. I've tried everything I can find on the forums and in xbl support,
including router settings changes and checking with my ISP. Nothing is being blocked, but XBL can't be reached. Is anyone else experiencing this same issue?

MaxBox99 in order to connect to Xbox live you need an Xbox live profile, you cannot connect to Xbox live without having an valid Xbox live account.

It was an xbl error, but after 3 days of it not working I ran one traceroute from the 360 and everything started working. I won't pretend to understand why, but thanks for trying to help me with it.

 

Well, it worked for a few hours, at least. It is now a problem again. It is a "Live Connection Error" and error#8015190E. The most recent thing I tried was removing my profile and clearing the local content cache 3 times (as per XBL Support instructions),
and that seemed to work...but only for about an hour and a half. I've since tried running a tracert on the 360 and have noticed that i can still see XBL (65.55.42.1), but it gives me a lot of "request timed out" issues when it tries to go through the MSN servers
(207.46.33.212, 204.152.140.116). I'm not sure if that's where the error lies, but it's super inconvenient and frustrating. An important note is that I live on a college campus and we are on a private network, but no outgoing traffic is blocked, so when an
xbox connects to xbl, it shouldn't be interfered with by the firewall or any other security. We've never had these issues before, but over the last 3-5 days everyone with a 360 has been experiencing the same issues I have, including the problem with being
on for a bit and then not getting kicked off. Any thoughts will be helpful.

 

Does everyone connect there Xbox consoles via WIFI? Could be something interfering with the connection to the xbox consoles. A friend of mine couldn't connect, found out his wireless headset was causing interference and blocking the connection to Xbox live.
It could be a device nearby on campus causing interference.

 

Hi, I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and have the very same issue here. The only difference is that after remove my profile I just can not download it again :-(. So my 360 become useless for me. It is happen about 5 days now. I did all the procedures that
was described by easysim3.

 

Hey Auswulf, I could believe it was interference if I lived in the dorms, but I'm a staff member and I live in a separate area. I also don't normally use a headset or anything like that, so I don't think I can say it's something interfering. 4 or 5 days
now trying to find something, but only one brief moment of XBL the whole time.

 

XBL should be refunding everyone for the last month. Again, and Again, and one more Again. What the F??? XBL is offline more than its working.

 

This has been my exact problem these past weeks. Can't connect most of the time. Connects sometimes for brief intervils. Then quits Xbl mid game, can't reconnect. Have to reboot.

The strange thing is everything else works on XBL. Like Netflix, hbo go, and what not. I notice on the "xbox status" page it says, "social and gaming limited". Is that directly related to why I can't play and version of Call Of Duty? You click on details
and and it says some gibberish pertaining to minecraft nonsense.

What gives Xbox? I paid a lot of money for your services but cannot play any of my games online. This is the main reason I paid for a gold membership.

 

Same problem here. Even with wired connection. Xbox Live Error.
