Cannot connect to xbox live with username and password that works when logging in from a ...

I cannot figure out why on the xbox 360 console, I cannot log into my xbox live account with the username and password that work when I log into xbox live on my computer. The problem is not with the internet connection.

The login originally worked, but it stopped working at some point. We tried changing the password, and it still did not work, though it works on the website.

Is the password somehow stored on the console and does it require changing separate from the login screen?

setting up new wifi connection

I have installed a new wifi to my computer. when I try to connect my Xbox I am unable to connect. I am asked on the Xbox for a username and password. What username is required - profile / Windows Live / Xbox Live?? my xbox is unable to find my wifi router.
any ideas?

 

Will Xbox One be able to connect to 802.1x?

Im a college student and right now the only way to get my xbox live to work is to bridge my xbox 360 through my mac. I'm wondering if based on what we know of the Xbox Ones internet browser, if it would have the capability to log in and connect through my schools 802.1x authenticating system. The reason why I can't on my xbox is because there's no place for me to input my username and password in order to connect. Would Xbox One be able to do this?

How to delete Xbox LIVE profile safely

Before you delete your profile you have to know the username and password for your Microsoft account that is associated with your profile.

1. Go to Settings, and then select System.
2. Select Storage.
3. Select All Devices.
4. Select Gamer Profiles.
5. Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
6. Select Delete.
7. Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.
   

Clear Xbox system cache

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
   
2. Select Storage or Memory.
3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
4. Select Clear System Cache.
5. Repeat this process three times in a row.

Restart your console.

Download Xbox LIVE profile.

1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).
   
2. Select Download Profile.
3. Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
4. Enter your Microsoft account password.
