Cannot connect to Xbox live via laptop with university Connection

HI everyone,

I am having trouble connecting my Xbox to Xbox live via my laptop. I have tried both the bridged and the network sharing methord and neither seems to work. When connecting to Xbox Live the test cannot get passed the connecting to network stage, even though
I've tried using multiple cables. I am using a university network with a login process when connecting to the wifi network, which is why I cannot connect my Xbox to the phone line because the IE app needs an Xbox Live connection to function.

Windows 10 streaming without TV?

there is a delay over wifi but it works. you can speed things up by connecting your xbox and laptop via wire to your router.

How to connect to Xbox Live via Laptop.

Hey, I am currently at university and in my room I only have 1 Ethernet cable. Is there a way I can plug the cable into my laptop, and then connect the xbox via the laptop?

It should work with a network bridge once you accept your UNIs landing page agreement and log-in. Know anyone on campus with a console set up? Your school might be blocking the necessary ports.

The Xbox One support WPA, WPA2, and WEP. There's nothing in the support documentation about WPA2-Enterprise and 802.1X authentication.

I know others in universities have used their laptops to connect to their universities networks and then used the MAC Address from the laptop connection on the Xbox 360. This should be possible with the Xbox One as well by adjusting the alternative MAC Address
and replacing it with another already connected device like a laptop.
