Cannot connect to Xbox live on backwards compatible games

I'm trying to get my system to connect to Xbox live when playing games such as Halo Reach and civilization revolution. I open the Xbox 360 dashboard from my Xbox one and after waiting for a minute or so it tells me it cannot connect to Xbox live. I have
tried resetting the system and my router and nothing seems to help. I am talking to a friend on Xbox and his is working fine. So what's the issue? Getting error 8015190E.

Xbox live issues

My Xbox one works fine with all games. I can connect to Xbox live and everything just fine. But, when I get on any backwards compatible game, it tells me that I cannot connect to Xbox live. I tried to delete my account, but now it is telling me I can't download
it again because I cant connect to Xbox live. There is no issue with my internet either.

Problems connecting to XBOX LIVE specifically from backwards compatible games on Xbox ONE.

Hi there. Can anyone tell me why I cannot connect to Xbox LIVE from any backwards compatible game on Xbox ONE.? Say, I can connect on Xbox ONE, play all normal and smooth, but on any Xbox 360 game, it will not let me. It´s kinda funny. I receive the message
that leds you to check your connection on Xbox 360, yet I'm on Xbox LIVE back at the main menu of Xbox ONE.

Help...

Sorry to hear about the issue with playing Backward Compatibility and not being able to connect. Let's have you try these steps to clear the Xbox 360 cache on the Xbox One and see if it helps.

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

(Note Double-tapping the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.)

Select Settings.

Select All settings.

Select System and then select Storage.

Select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.

Select Yes and restart the console. (This will not affect your cloud saved games or Xbox One games and profiles.)

I also have the same issue but it looks like my problem is still occurring.

I have done all the steps required but it still says I cannot connect to Xbox Live.

I am trying to play Halo 3 via backwards compatible on my Xbox One but cannot connect to Xbox Live.

If the games are backwards compatible, they will show as "Ready to Install" in your Games and Apps. If they are not backwards compatible, then you cannot transfer them to the One. You can see a list of backward compatible games here -

I'm currently having the same exact issue. I can't connect any of my backwards compatible games to Xbox Live on my Xbox One. I've restarted twice and checked my internet. Neither of these are the issues. My NAT is open and evrything else is fine. I can't
connect to Xbox Live on backwards compatible games at all!

Hi there,

please double check if your Xbox One console is fully updated (and connected to Xbox Live) since this is a requirement to install a Backward compatible game.

When using a disc the backward compatible game will still be downloaded from Xbox Live, since that is the backward compatible version (it will require the play disc to be inserted in order to play the game)

Since you mentioned discs, please be sure to insert the correct one (when console is connected and is updated). that usually should trigger installation.
