Cannot connect to wifi on Xbox One- have only had it 3 days

I purchased my Xbox one as a bundle with Fallout 4. It initially connected to the wifi but last night it disconnected and will not reconnect. I get the error message "can't connect. Check network name or password and try again" every time.

Here is what I have tried:

1. Hard Reset

2. Factory Reset

3. Modem/Router Reset

4. Changed wifi channel

5. Wired connection then reattempt to connect via wifi (router is downstairs so I can't keep a wired connection)

6. Asked microsoft support twice

7. typed password over and over again

8. took it to game stop to exchange and got a successful connection there so no exchange actually occurred

9. cleared the alternate mac address and blu-ray storage

Nothing is working and I am frustrated. Are there any fixes that have worked that I haven't tried? I can see the network just can't connect to it. I will try anything you can suggest at this point. I have looked through lots of these forums but had no luck
so far. Thanks!

wifi issues

So recently my xbox one has not been able to connect to my wifi network. It has before in the past and one day up and stopped working. I've called xbox customer support and went through troubleshoot steps with them but so far they have not helped. The wifi network shows up but whenever i try to test the network connection i get an error message that says 'cannot get an IP address'. I tried a wired connection and that works but i am not able to keep it wired all the time. If anyone might have a solution please help!

Wifi Connect-New XBox Update

i just bought a new Xbox One, and i cannot connect to the wifi, i cannot update it cause i cannot connect to the wifi, and i don't even know what to do at the moment, any help please.

You may have something interfering with your wireless signal. Can you move your console closer to the router/modem and test the wifi connection to see if that may be the problem?

it still has a wifi component due to the wireless controllers that uses the 2.4Ghz band also, so all 360 models have some sort of wifi module in them, the original xbox 360 did not have a wifi module to connect to wifi networks but still had a custom wireless module for connecting the controllers wirelessly as they don't use bluetooth. and that cannot be disabled either.

if you are in an environment where no wireless signals are allowed then the original xbox, ps2 era consoles is your only choice.

Never had the controllers disconnect but my day one console has had wifi issues since day one. The wifi typically does not connect when the console boots but it will connect automatically after about 5 minutes or so. Or I just pick my other wifi 5ghz v's
2.4ghz and it usually connects right up. Annoying yes. My wifi router is in LOS, and I made sure that the power levels were good and the channels were clear. Sorry to say I don't have a clear answer for the wifi issue.

I am having the same issue, only on one console. I have had an Xbox 1 for several years and have no problems with the wifi. My daughter got an xbox for Christmas and the new xbox will not connect to the wifi. It does but says same message as above.
