    Xboxlive is having an overload of players between Halo 4 and COD:BO2. Its going to be an issue on and off for a while and even worse when christmas comes. Its happening with other games too. Its xboxlive.

    Welcome to the Xbox Forum!

    There aren't currently any issues or server maintenance affecting online multiplayer in Black Ops Cold War:

    Activision online service status

    Xbox Live Status

    What console is your daughter using - Xbox One or Series X|S?

    What's your NAT type - ‘Open’, ‘Moderate’ or ‘Strict’? Ideally, you want this to be ‘open’ to play online.

    From what I've found on this error, changing the DNS server can help. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any known solutions to this error, only temporary workarounds.

    If you're connected to a wireless network, you might want to try using a wired connection to see if this helps or try another network, a mobile hotspot maybe?
