    Cannot connect to one specific friend in parties.


    There are three main people I play on Xbox and lately for the past few months when I've been in a party with 2 of them and the other will join and just me and him will constantly be connecting and then jut disconnect. Or the other case where only one of
    us can connect to the party and the other will disconnect. And this goes on for about 3 hours then finally works. This never happens with anyone else other than this one specific friend and it's becoming very frustrating.

    Open NAT but still cant connect to friends

    Same happens to me sometimes, I cannot connect to certain parties and when I do, it takes like 15 seconds. That is certain friends though. I know one guy on my friends list that I cannot connect to at all. The second I attempt to join party it tells me I
    cannot connect... lol doesn't even give it a second to connect.

    So, I didn't do anything to my firewall setting on the router, and the connection started working again.

    I honestly don't know what I did (or if I even did anything), it seems as if Live just decided to work for me again- I'll have to let you know if the problem comes back again though.

    Thanks for the info Badkd404 Have you tried to disable the firewall on the arris residential gateway? If you only have the default login for it you may not be able to see the firewall option(most isps have different login for it) default for arris i believe
    is admin 1234 If the companys login is the same as most others try login- MSO (make sure its caps) and password- changeme (tough one i know) if that allows you to login look for firewall option and disable that.

    and back ti Pantsthechicken- are you positive its a belkin router you have? I know netgear makes a N150 router and if so you can try to do the same with the SPI firewall built into the netgear(belkin has it to so still try if i am mistaken)

    If you can connect ok to others then it would suggest the problem could well be at his location so yes if you can post up his details that would be good
