    Cannot connect to multiplayer when using Ethernet but WiFi works


    For 4 months have played multiplayer via an Ethernet connection, now for last 2 days can only connect to multiplayer with wifi. Have power cycle modem & console 5 times plus signed out twice, have also replaced cables - any suggestions please??

    Xbox one wont work with my wifi network

    My Xbox one used to connect to Xbox live but now it wont connect to Xbox live. When I test my network status it says im fine but when i test my NAT type it tells me it cannot get a teredo IP. I have tried everything to fix this but it wont work with my wifi
    network. When i plug it into ethernet it works fine and connects and it even works when connected to my phones hotspot but not when connected to my wifi network.

    How quiet is the Xbox One S?

    When I download a game I have to unhook the ethernet cable and use WiFi or the download will stop sometimes. The ethernet cable works far better for online multiplayer though with far less lag and rubber banding than WiFi.

    What kind of Ethernet cables are you using? (CAT 4,5,6?) Also could you give a more descriptive explanation as to what is happening?

    Save up for a decent apple computer.It worked for my friends.Works really well in Australia.

    Unfortunately I'm a couple weeks off from one.Tried to trade the xbox one but there not worth anything here.Complete waste of money.

    Account is signed in yet Games and Live Service telling me otherwise

    In the end, unplugging ethernet and using wifi connection worked for me.

    Xbox freezes when connected to Internet via ethernet

    That doesnt make any sense - You dont pay for a Xbox 360 and expect the ethernet not to work - Right?

    I reset the router to factory defaults and it still freezes when connected via ethernet

    I manually configured the internet setup on the xbox and it still freezes via ethernet

    When I disconnect ethernet and connect to network via WiFi it does not freeze

    What is causing the ethernet connection to make the xbox freeze?

    I am racking my brain and cannot figure this out!
