    Cannot connect to friends' Minecraft or Ark servers


    So whenever I try to connect to my friends' server on ARK or minecraft, it isn't able to connect, and it returns me to the main menu. The same goes if my friend tries to connect to my server. Both of our NAT types are open, but we've never had these games
    before. They can join each others' servers but I'm always the odd one out.

    I bought the windows 10 version of mine craft and couldn't connect to my friends server who runs java. Is there a way of connecting or I am i just screwed over by buying the wrong version.

    Hello! Let's have you try unplugging your router and console for 5 mins then plug back in and see if that works! Let me know! Cannot connect to friends' Minecraft or Ark servers :)

    Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately I'm here at college and I'm unable to unplug the router or any devices that are associated to the internet other than my own Xbox haha...

    Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately I'm here at college and I'm unable to unplug the router or any devices that are associated to the internet other than my own Xbox haha...

    I saw you mentioned others have visited the realm. Make sure your friend is online when you try and visit. The others may have been couch co-op. Also check your internet connection and make sure it is a stable connection.

    I'm running a non dedicated server from my computer and it's not ARK that's giving me the issue it's the app. I can connect to other games that are hosted from on dedicated servers but am unable to connect to instances created by friends and vice versa
