    Cannot Connect To Friend Through Parties, Games, Nor Private Chats


    I know many people are having this problem, but mine is a bit weirder. As the subject says, I can't connect to my friend through anything. Both of our NAT's are open, so I'm really confused on why this is happening. But here's the weird thing. My brother
    and I share the same internet, and my friend can't connect to me and vice versa, but my friend is able to connect to my brother through everything even though we are on the same internet, I can connect to my brother, too, obviously, so my brother would have
    to be the host for everything we do, and it's really annoying to do this all of the time.

    We've also tried disconnecting our routers and all of that and didn't work, so I'm clueless on how to fix it. Any suggestions?

    Can you check to see if you have QoS (Quality of Service) enabled on your network routers?

    Neither Private Chat nor Party Chat are restricted in Skyrim. Private Chat is never restricted, though some games (Dark Souls, certain MW2 playlists) do restrict Party Chat.

    Oh and by the way, my games are almost always a bit laggy, sometimes i even get kicked out of the match during the map voting before the match has actually started. I also lose connection with parties and private chat quite often and there are some friends

    No that's not the problem. About halfway through one of my friends left the party and then immediately rejoined. The audio worked then for about an hour before reverting to it's previous broken state. And I tried party chat, game chat and even a private
    chat. None of them worked
