    Cannot connect to certain friend games but we both can connect perfectly with other gamers


    Me and a personal friend of mines cannot connect for any reason whatsoever. We both tried everything from restarting the router to even doing all clear cache xbox restart. We both have open nat and excellent internet and sometimes when we do get lucky and
    connect , we keep getting timed out. Anybody got any tips or had similar experiences with this because I am literally stuck

    Can't join only one friend's party chats

    Me and one of my friends cannot connect to each other via party chats or game invites. This only happens with this one friend. I can't seem to figure out why this is. We can both connect to our other friends just fine. We are both on wireless connections
    and I have a open NAT type and he has a Open NAT type. Help me?

    Hey guys,

    I've been on xbox live for 6 years now and have had only minor issues with connecting and playing with friends on 360 and One. A friend of mine that I used to play on xbox 360 with has just upgraded to an xbox one and for some strange reason we cannot connect
    to each other. We have both power cycled our modems and consoles, both have open nat, can both play with everyone else on our friends lists but cannot connect to each other. We have tried this multiple times over the past month and tried games such as Minecraft
    and Trivial Pursuit. Destiny we have been able to connect to but I assume this is due to it being on servers? but even then it is not as smooth an experience as with other friends.

    I'm at a loss as to why we can't connect to each other. We live about 5 minutes from each other and both have Telstra as our ISP. Could this be part of the issue?

    This could be any number of things, but usually it is down to the connect or NAT type, it can also be due to the internet provider or router you or your friend is using.

    There are some helpful troubleshooting tips that might be able to help: Xbox connection troubleshooting

    This could be any number of things, but usually it is down to the connect or NAT type, it can also be due to the internet provider or router you or your friend is using.

    This is not related to NAT. Me and my friend are OPEN, but cannot connect to each others party. We have to private chat each other lol. Its just our connection towards each other. I remember a friend of mine switched to verizon and I can connect to his parties
    without any issues now. How about you and your friend unplug your router/modem for a whole 5 minutes and then check the results afterwards. If you can connect to my party chat you are perfectly fine. You are not the only one. True fact: The same friend I had
    a hard time connecting to, on my PS3, I could not connect to his game... lol, But on Xbox LIVE i can join his game but not party... its weird but not an issue with Xbox LIVE.

    I will also add that I can play multiplayer it has never been an issue with that. Also when I connect to another friend he can connect to him also. We can then chat there, but we cannot connect to each other, nor join each others games if he or I are hosting
    them.

    Same happens to me sometimes, I cannot connect to certain parties and when I do, it takes like 15 seconds. That is certain friends though. I know one guy on my friends list that I cannot connect to at all. The second I attempt to join party it tells me I
    cannot connect... lol doesn't even give it a second to connect.

    OK no answers cool, sorry....I am just a little upset! I just drove across town to re check all the port on his router.....they are open, is NAT is open.....so than I went back home and connected directly to the internet without a router....no luck still.....so
    I drove back to his house to do the same, I got back home and sent a party invite still nothing. Please for the love of god DO NOT put a guide on here on how to open NAT lol....seriously though. I am sick of this, and I am sure a lot of other people are as
