Cannot connect to Black ops 1 servers

I am a big COD fan there isn't a game in the series that i don't like especially Black ops 1 . When i made this account in early 2013 I played Black ops campaign ,zombies and multilayer a few times then one day this message popped up saying 'The call of
duty black ops server is not available at this time. Please try again later' and now later being nearly 2 years I want to know why and what to do. I have bought gold for a few accounts every now and again to play some classic zombies with friends which is
expensive just to do zombies for a couple of hours. My friends to my knowledge have never had this problem either. All I want to know is what can I do to connect to the servers.

Also the separate accounts were made on the same xbox as the account which doesn't work which makes me think it's my account not trouble with the connection.

Black Ops 1--Still cannot connect to online servers

I do not get an actual error code at all. It simply says that i cannot currently connect to the black ops servers and to check www.callofduty.com/blackops for status and updates. In essence I get the same message that would appear if the servers themselves
were not functioning. My 360 emulator appears to be connected to xbox live, as I can see my friends list and send messages, however for some reason I just cannot seem to connect to the black ops 1 online servers for multiplayer or zombies.

I created a new gamertag on my xbox one and still was unable to connect to the servers. Good to know the game i have been wanting the most to be backwards compatible is simply broken
