Cannot connect my Tablet with my Xbox One

Hello everyone,

for the last hour or so I have been trying to get my smartglass app on my new windows 10 tablet to connect with Xbox One (I've also tried the pre-installed xbox app) ... now... whenever I go to "connect" it can't find my console.

I turned off all devices. Disconnected the router. Waited a couple of minutes, turned everything on again and still nothing. Then I tried it the way the app itself suggested: "type in the IP address of your console" ... did that a couple of times and it
says "Couldn't find a console with this IP-address"

Now, I don't know what else to do.

On my Windows Phone the Smartglass App always finds a connection with my console (I set that up a long long time ago) as well es with my laptop, but not with my tablet. And yes, they are in the same wifi network.

I would be very grateful if anyone could offer some suggestions/help.

Linx vision help

Hi all, Looking for some advice. Forgive me if they are stupid questions. I have bought a linx vision windows 10 tablet to stream our Xbox one games. I updated the Xbox app but then the app won't open. I reset and used the app without the update. I can't
find any option to stream. I downloaded Xbox one smart glass app instead and I have managed to connect the tablet and the Xbox one via smartglass but cannot find anything to stream the picture from my Xbox onto my tablet screen. I can control my Xbox with
the tablet but cannot get the game screen on my tablet. How do I do this?

 

Smartglass won't connect

I can't connect to my xbox one with the smartglass app on my Surface RT tablet. I'm pretty sure in the past i have been but the past few weeks i haven't been able to. I can connect perfectly fine with my windows phone but not with the tablet and can't figure
it out. Anyone have any ideas?

 

Hi JannLee, we have received other reports about this issue and the developers are aware and investigating. What would be of great help is if you could report this issue via Xbox App beta using the "Report a problem" so we can provide to the developers to
help with the on-going investigation.

This just happened to me, however I am using an iPhone rather than a Windows device. After the most recent smartglass update, my Xbox One was no longer listed in the smartglass app, nor could I connect. Then I noticed that my NAT type had somehow gone back
to Moderate instead of Open. Once I set up the port triggering and saw my NAT type go back to Open, the next time I opened the smartglass app my Xbox One was listed as a connected device without any further action on my part.

Hopefully updating your NAT type will work. If your NAT type is already set to Open then this solution won't work.
