DHCP is your modem/router/gateway's ability to assign a local IP address to your console in order to connect it to your home network.

I assume you are using an Xbox One. There is a handy network troubleshooter guide, complete with step-by-step instructions, that is found

here.

Start off by clicking the picture with the DHCP error, and follow the instructions given to you.

Hopefully, this can fix your problem!

Sorry for the issue with connecting to your network. You can try the
troubleshoot guide out for network issues. When you get to step 3 select the error you are getting will give you troubleshooting for that error. Try this and let us know.

I believe your wifi connection comes from the same router (device) which you have your ethernet cable plugged to that goes to your Xbox. In this case, the DHCP server should work for both (wireless and wired).

Try using a different ethernet cord, do you happen to have one so you can test it?

Make sure your advanced settings are set to automatically obtain an IP address.
