    Cannot connect backwards compatible 360 game to xbox live?


    Hi

    I wanted to relive the glory days, so I picked up call of duty: Modern Warfare 3 used today for the 360. Seeing as it is backwards compatable now, I thought I was going to be able to play online. But, when I start it up, it asks me to sign in to Live. I
    keep trying, but it keeps giving me an error.

    Any help?

    Xbox One online - 360 mode cannot connect to internet??

    Has anyone come across this problem? Xbox One is online but when I switch to 360 Mode to play a backwards compatible game (either Gears or Left4Dead2) as soon as the console is in 360 mode it cannot connect to the internet?

    Backwards Compatibility: No 360 Profile

    So I have an Xbox One, and I have a backwards compatible Xbox 360 game (Deus Ex: Human Revolution) but I never owned an Xbox 360 Console and therefore cannot sign in or save my progress when playing a backwards compatible game. Is there a way around this?

    No. Xbox One games cannot be played on the 360.

    360 games can be played on the One if they are backwards compatible.

    The Xbox 360 can only play Backward Compatible games if it has an official Xbox 360 hard drive installed, and the game is listed on here If your Xbox 360 needs an update, then just connect the console to Xbox live, and the console will automatically check for the update and ask you to download it. If it does not, then your console probably already has it, and the game you want to play is not backward compatible.
