Cannot change xbox account settings

I want to create a realm with my 30 day free trial on minecraft windows 10 edition, and it has told me that i need to change my privacy/ security settings, and to go to aka.ms/accountsettings to do so. However, when i sign in with my xbox account, it brings
me to the beta.support.xbox.com page. This would be fine, however when i click on my profile, then the three dots and then xbox settings, it just brings up a new tab of the support page again. I have tried going to account.xbox.com directly, but it redirects
me to the support page. everything i do redirects me to the support page pretty much. what should i do to fix this so i can update the privacy and security settings to make a realm?

Thank you for trying to help however when i click on my xbox profile, it just brings up a new tab of beta.support.xbox.com, which it should not be doing. How do i stop it from automatically redirecting me here?

I have the same issue and sadly i dont know how to fix it yet sorry

Same problem here , it takes me to beta.support.xbox.com , dont know what to do there , hopefully i see a solution soon

Hi Skiddum,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. Sounds like the cross play is not enabled in settings, were you able to look at the
privacy and online settings? We will give you the
steps to change the exact ones for the cross platform use.

You will go to the Xbox websiteand sign in.
Once signed in, click your picture top right corner go to Xbox profile.
Click on privacy settings.
Once in settings, under the picture see Privacy, Xbox One/Windows 10 online safety. Select the Xbox one/Windows 10 online safety.
You will see you gamertag you are looking for one setting:
The two you want to make sure say allow and everybody are:
1. "you can play with people outside of Xbox live" set to allow
2. Now click on privacy you are looking for one setting:
  
  "you can communicate outside of Xbox live with voice and text" set to allow
