Cannot change the email address associated with my Xbox Live Account

Hi!

I want to change the EMAIL address associated with my Xbox Live Account. I did correctly the 3 email procedure. When I'm at the end of the final step I get this error:

I bought the console in Italy, that's why I get the error in Italian even if my dashboard language is English. Basically it says that an Xbox membership doesn't exist for the selected email. Retry. For password assistance visit

My current email address is not Gold anymore and my new email address is currently used for PayPal & Windows Phone only. I want to use this new email address for everything. Currently it's not associated with Windows Phone Xbox Games Application.

Several months has passed, but I still cannot change it.

How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

error 8015d002 requires to use a contact form to remove a security check from your Profile.

you can find it by following -> xbox.com -> topright Corner "sign in" -> "i can not Access my account" -> "i know my Password but it wont sign in" -> when asked to verify your ownership Chose "i dont have my security Information anymore" -> there you may
use a contact email and will be asked to provide as much Detail as possible about your Profile in question (the one leading to your error code)

 

Hmm... I know my password, details about my account etc. Why go for "i dont have my security Information anymore" ? This doesn't make sense to me.

 

im sorry, i mixed it up with 8015d003 - the reason would be your Profile is locked for a suspected security issue and this would be the only way to solve it.

use support.xbox.com/error-code-lookup and enter your code there - it may be you accidently Setup two step authentication and this way your console requests a different Password than
used on xbox.com

To change the email on your xbox live account, you're going to need to sign into account.live.com on either internet explorer or firefox (google chrome and safari does NOT work)

go into "manage aliases"

it should let you add an alias if your email was already verified, if not, it will ask you to verify the email address that's currently listed first.

Once you add your alias, if its a 3rd party email (gmail, yahoo, etc) then click verify.

Itll send a link to your email and verify that its yours.

Once verified, click make primary and remove the old email from the account.

That error code that youre getting is for the security check tho so once that's done, go into password and more and make sure you have an updated alternate email listed (MUST be something diff than your sign in email) and an updated phone number

you will also need to change the password if you havnt done so within probly the last week or 2

when this is all done, go back to your xbox and clear system cache and redownload your profile.

everything should be swapped over to the new email and you should be able to play without error =)

When I add the alias email I want to, it says that the alias email is already in use. My alias email is gmail and is already a live account (I use it for my Windows Phone and for OneDrive). I'm stucked, once again

 

It says:

This email address is already taken. Please try another one.

 

I added some info (Personal details) in my current email/account like Date of birth, Gender, Country/region & Time zone as I didn't have them before, hoping this would solve my problem. Then I tried to change the account email in X360 dashboard again and
got this new error message:

Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft account right now. For more info, go to Xbox.com/SwapAccount

Does that mean that I must wait for a month before I can make any change only because I added some info to my account? Then after a month I will get the same error I had earlier? 6 months have passed since I wanted to change my account email for the first
time. This is ridiculous!!!

I can't renew my Xbox Live Gold, because I'm stucked with the old email address. I can't buy from Microsoft Marketplace with my Windows Phone, because I would need to create a new gamertag for my new email address, which I don't want as I want to have one
address & gamertag for my X360 and Windows Phone. This makes me so angry, I'm thinking about quitting with Microsoft for good. I spent several hours with the 'change email problem' and got nowhere. Microsoft [Mod Removed]!?!

 

if you're trying to use an email that's already set up on another gamertag then youll need to swap that gamertag onto a new email or just create a new Hotmail or outlook account for your gamertag.

The gamertag that has your actual email address that you wanted to use, did you want to keep that gamertag or was it something that was set up accidently?

 

if its a gamertag you don't need, then you can fix this by signing into account.live.com using the email that you actually want on your current gamertag, go to manage aliases (retrieve code if it sends one) click add alias then itll let you create a new
Hotmail or outlook on the top line. create something as a kind of "dummy account" and click make primary. Once that's listed under your aliases as your primary alias you can remove your actual email from the account.

Once that's done, sign out and sign back in using the current email and password on ur current gamertag. go into manage aliases and click add alias. Now you should be able to add your gmail on the bottom line. Itll send a code to verify it once verified,
click make primary and youll b good to go =)

If the gamertag is one youd like to keep, itd probly be easiest to just sign into account.live.com with the sign in email and password currently set up on your gamertag and under manage aliases, create a new Hotmail or outlook to use and click make primary.

 

No gamertag is associated with my 'new' email. I removed that gamertag months ago with the 3 emails method - thanks to the tutorial I found on this site.

I need this gamertag - it's the gamertag you see on my forum avatar. years ago I created an email only to associate it with my gamertag.

Your second suggestion is interesting, but the email I want to associate my gamertag with, is also used for OneDrive and Windows 8.1 account. If I transfer this stuff to another dummy email that would be a problem, cause I won't be able to add it back. Or
am I missing something?
