    Cannot change Microsoft Account email on the xbox 360.


    Basically I am unable to change my microsoft email address on the xbox 360 console. Let me just clarify this also. I meet ALL the requirements in order to change my email address, I have £0.00 on the account, i have done everything from hard resetting the
    console, clearing cache memory, redownloading my gamertag on the console, havent changed my information in the passed 30 days. Everything is fine but I still get the same message of "Sorry, you cannot change your email address right now." And just to clarify
    one more time, I meet ALL of the requirements, have chatted to 2 different advisors aswell saying everything is fine and don't know why I can not change my email address. So any ideas of what I can do as everything on my part is 100% fine but for some reason
    it will not let me?

    Cannot change Microsoft accounts

    Hi, my friend was trying to change his Xbox Live Account's Microsoft Id/Email. The probly is that this won't let him do this on Xbox giving him a error message for no reason. After trying to change this on login.live he cannot receive verification messages
    to his email. In fact we don't think he's receiving any kind of emails to his account.

    We have mutliple problems here, firstly we cannot change his microsoft account on xbox, secondly, we cannot change his microsoft account on login.live because he cannot get a verification code to his email.

    How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

    Overview

    It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

    Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

    1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

    2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

    How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

    1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

    3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

    4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

    5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

    In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

    I have double checked and I do indeed meet all the conditions for the changeover. What shall I do because I have done absolutely everything.

    I take it this is a Microsoft email such as outlook or Hotmail. This is a problem, that email is the account name so we cannot change that and we cannot move that content to another account. You used to actually be able to move this to another email
    using the Xbox 360 but they stopped this several years ago. As the previous poster suggested the home xbox option will allow you to share this to another account.

    You can change and update the email address. If an email has been used on an account you cannot transfer to it.
