Cannot change gamertag..

I've seen many changes over the years on xbox.com, my Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. A couple of years ago it was possible to change ones gamertag on Xbox.com or Zune.net. Now however that has all changed. You can only change your Xbox Live gamertag on
Xbox.com if you just created a new silver account. You were given a random gamertag that you can change once for free on Xbox.com. You only have 30 days to do so. (I actually tested this and you can do it even after 30 days.) That's not the point though. If
you have a gold account with an already changed gamertag you cannot change your gamertag on Xbox.com, you have to do it on either your Xbox 360 or Xbox One console. Unfortunately gamertags are still being sold today on sites such as
[Mod Removed]. People pay stupid amount of money for gamertags and old Xbox Live gold accounts. I'm bringing all this up because I have a main Xbox Live account and I also have a silver account that I don't use anymore. I wanted to change my
main account's gamertag to the one that's on the silver account. Sounds simple right? Just change the gamertag on the silver account and then it becomes available and then change your gamertag on your main account to it. It isn't that simple though. People
out there use programs like [Mod Removed] to claim your gamertag as soon as you change it and then you cannot have it afterwards. The reason they do this is because the gamertag you have in question is desirable and original. So they create
a fresh silver account and then load up their [Mod Removed] and sign in and specify the gamertag they want to steal. They then start the program up, which opens up Xbox.com on a new window and keeps clicking on "Check availability" by it self,
it can do this up to 10 times a second. It's very fast and efficient. As soon as the gamertag becomes available then it'll also click on "Claim it" and claims the gamertag for the person. Remember you can only do this with a fresh silver account where changing
your gamertag once for free is possible on Xbox.com. If they took down the possibility to change ones gamertag on Xbox.com completely, then people wouldn't steal others gamertag it'd be less possible for them. They'd have to go on their Xbox console and try
claiming the gamertag manually all day they'd literally have to sit in front of their console all day to get lucky. I'm not sure if this is a security issue but it is an issue nonetheless since I called up support and there's no way you could protect your
gamertag once you make it become available, so anyone can steal it especially if they are using a turboer. A captcha would solve this or if Microsoft disabled the ability to change your gamertag on the website. The only time the turboer does not work is when
Xbox.com is down juts like it was down a couple of days ago for an hour.

Change of Gamertag

You cannot just request a free gamertag change. The support on the phone only change your gamertag for free since it was for privacy issues and/or your one and only free gamertag change.

So unfortunately you cannot just ask for a FNC.

What about the Xbox LIVE players who play on the PC only? How would they change their name if they desired curious on what idea you have for that

 

I missed that last bit about the CAPTCHA idea i guess that would work haha but i figure someone would create a program to solve those each time etc

 

Oh God no Vincent you aren't one of them are you? By the time someone create a new program with Death by Captcha I would've already changed my GT so it wouldn't affect me anymore. This is so silly.. Support doesn't know what to do, they never heard of this
problem. Writing on these forums won't change anything since no one looks at these posts. They told me to write to Microsoft headquarters but I doubt they would do anything about it since it's not really a security issue, still an issue though. I mean there's
people out there stealing gamertags and that's somehow "ok". Whoever is a mod on these forums, why would you remove the program names that I listed they aren't even official names... Amatuer.. Get it sorted. I don't want to be on the phone 24/7 and writing
mails 24/7.

you may not list 3rd party software to commit fraud or even show the names or to help others get the software to commit fraud

Since when is the name of a forum a crime? Exactly. These weren't specific names of the programs dummy. Exactly. Either help out or hop off the thread. Wait if what I'm talking about is fraud, then how come no one is doing anything about it? Touche! Amatuers..

 

What happens to me is i click Next when ALL credit card is filled out. no warning, but nothing happens. Why?
