Cannot change console setting to download games while the console is off

Hello, basically you need to go into your settings and under general you will need to select power mode and startup. Then select instant-on. You will need to make sure under this setting that your storage is left on. If storage is selected to be off things
will only download when the xbox is powered on. Another thing to do is in settings go to system select updates and downloads and select keep my games and apps up to date. This will allows background updates and downloads. Downloads in standby mode are considered
background downloads.

go to SETTINGS on CONSOLE, then POWER SETTINGS, and change the power mode on console to ENERGY SAVING MODE, now when you turn off console , it will turn off hard drive, and turns off fan on power supply. It will no download updated while off.

You can download games with the console off. In settings select Power and Startup and set your console to instant on. This will enable background downloads while the xbox one is off.

yes you can, place the console to instant on and then when you power off it will still download, you can change any setting while downloading. don't forget you can also play games and apps while downloading.
