Cannot change account in game pass store

So, that's odd indeed.

Try something simple like clear the store's cache and then try to log in again:

1. Type CMD in the search bar;

2. Right-click Command Prompt and click Run as administrator;

3. At the Command Prompt screen type wsreset.exe and press Enter;

Wait for the process to finish, the store will open, when it opens you close and restart your PC.

If that doesn't work:

First, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If it still doesn't work:

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC and try again.

And then, the last restore is to restore your OS:

Step 1: Click Update & security on the Settings page to continue.

Step 2: Click Recovery and click Get Started on the right to continue.

Step 3: Choose Keep my files to reset your PC.

Step 4: Read the subsequent messages and click Reset.

After the computer has restarted successfully, you have refreshed Windows 10.

Seems resetting the Xbox application via Apps & Features was the solution.

Is this the only game that you cannot install off your game pass? Kindly also try to install it using MS store, open the app, then click on the profile picture in the top right corner. A pop-up box will appear allowing you to sign out then once signed out, kindly sign in again using the account that has the game pass and should change the store account. Try installing your game again.

Hi, recently i bought a new to pc to play xbox game pass on as i have xbox game pass ultimate on my xbox. However, i'm now being told my store account is different to my xbox live account and therefore i can only my game pass does not sync between both. When i try to use my xbox live account as my store account it says personal account cannot be used???? I am confused and require assistance... Many thanks >.<

Games purchase from the Xbox store and from Game Pass are encrypted and stored in a secure location on your hard drive. The games cannot be modded.
