    I feel like my XBox Live subscription is stuck in purgatory, no support avenues have led to any help, and I think manual intervention is needed.

    I tried to cancel my Game Pass Ultimate subscription today because I am simply not using it. I wanted to cancel it and then go back to a regular Gold membership. After cancelling the Game Pass Ultimate subscription, it now is stuck like this:

    It's giving me a warning that it expires in "less than a week" on yesterday's date... If I go to Manage and attempt to cancel it entirely from there, it diverts me to the customer support bot. The customer support bot says it is not eligible to be cancelled
    and I should try to cancel it from the Manage interface. Also, when I try to cancel, it says something like "Are you sure you want to cancel? This subscription is paid up through 4/30/2020!" -- which is not helpful as that, again, is yesterday. In case
    you're wondering if it's a payment issue, a $14.99 payment went through my Paypal successfully today (5/1) for this subscription.

    Furthermore, all attempts to add an Xbox Gold subscription end in "there's something wrong on our end" errors. I've tried adding a new subscription directly through the browser and through the Xbox. I even went to the MS Store and bought a digital code
    for a 6 month Gold subscription and tried redeeming it through the browser and through the Xbox -- both also end in "there's something wrong on our end" errors.

    Finally, I cannot reach a live support person at all, and worst of all, I cannot play any multiplayer games on Xbox.

    How do I get back my Xbox live gold after it merged with game pass and I canceled my game pass subscription?

    You would have to buy a new Gold subscription. The Gold would have been cancelled when it was converted to Game Pass Ultimate and cannot be reverted once that happens.

    If you have a Gold membership that is still active that has been purchased with that PayPal account, then you cannot remove it unless you cancel the subscription or your Gold runs out.

    Hello,

    Based on the terms and conditions for the Ultimate Game Pass, when you agreed to it the terms it states that the "Pass [will] automatically upgrade your existing Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass membership(s) to Ultimate at a conversion ratio each based
    on days remaining" and warns you that "all conversion to Ultimate are final: once converted, you cannot re-convert your Ultimate membership back to a previous membership".

    Basically, your Xbox Live Subscription was cancelled because you opted into the Ultimate Game Pass and it includes the service. However, now that you've cancelled your Ultimate subscription it should run until the current paid period concludes and you will
    need to purchase a new Xbox Live Subscription to continue service.

    If you are referring to losing Xbox Live Gold because you cancelled Game Pass Ultimate, there is nothing that can be done. It clearly states that Xbox Live Gold will be converted to Game Pass Ultimate days and can not be reverted and that canceling Game
    Pass Ultimate will cancel out the converted Xbox Live Gold. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing/xbox-subscriptions/xbox-game-pass-ultimate-faq

    You can cancel your Game Pass Ultimate membership at any time, and you will
