Cannot cancel Autorenewal

I've been trying to cancel my auto renewal for about 2 hours now following the steps listed here:

How to Cancel Your Xbox Subscription



I've resent and used 3 different emails and I cannot get the security code to send to me.

Any suggestions?

Well it'd not possible to cancel a membership's early without calling support

You can turn off autorenewal but you cannot cancel an membership without supports help

If you added a trial card which autorenewal wont matter anyways that's different

You will have to call support anyways

Ummmm how is the age old habbit of Calling support hard to cancel

The way to cancel autorenewal is the oldest method call the help line

 

Give support a call........

Using different e-mail addresses maybe the issue.

What a joke. Microsoft website goes round in circles. Help does not work - "There was a problem". THERE IS NO MICROSOFT ACCOUNT - BILLINGS; SUBSCRIPTIONS; AUTO RENEW to disable!

 

I cannot believe how dishonest Microsoft is - we signed up for a 3 month subscription, and they automatically put you on auto-renew. Ok, so other companies do this too. BUT, the really scummy thing is they don't submit to the credit card company until AFTER
the window to cancel the auto-renew. Gee, think that is on purpose?!? And, they will not refund me. We didn't know we have had it, nor have we used it once. BOGUS!

 

You can cancel automatic renewal at any point. Why be surprised that they don't charge you until your current subscription ends.

 

Hey, I'm not sure if you've already dealt with the issue you've posted about- but if you ever have issues with auto-renewal again, here's something that helped me.. they changed the way you turn auto-renewal on/off (i think pretty recently).. it used to
be on the Xbox site, but now its on a Microsoft site.. so here's a link to the directions, it gives you the link to the Microsoft website and walks you through everything.. support.xbox.com/.../renew-xbox-live-gold-account
it's very odd too- i got a message from microsoft saying even though my gold subscription was ending, i had auto renewal turned on- so my service wouldn't be interrupted. when i checked things out though, it didn't have auto-renewal listed as active
anywhere! very bizzare...
