Cannot buy Xbox Live Gold

I am trying to buy a year of Gold (A month had recently expired), and have been having issues. Whenever I confirm purchase, the xbox processes, then exits the purchase screen. The gold isn't purchased, and there is no message telling me why. I am purchasing
the gold with a Visa gift credit card. Is this the problem? I try to purchase on my computer, but am stuck when I "add a credit card". I am only given American States as choices in the billing info(I live in Canada).

Bought gold membership for a year and every time I go to play live it tells me I need to purchase a

purchased gold live and still cannot play live. Prompts me to buy gold live! I did buy it!!

It sounds like you're region might be set to the U.S I would try to change your region by following the steps in this article.

Make sure the page's region is set to Canada, but note that a Visa gift card will ONLY work IF it allows international purchases, but not all gift cards will. You need to check the specifics of that particular gift card and verify this. If it does not, you
will not be able to use it for payments on Xbox Live.

No, to get an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription on another account you will have to buy another Gold subscription, you cannot transfer Gold from one account to another.

Cannot download from Xbox gold live. Cannot play games that require Xbox Gold Live, Ask me to buy Xbox gold live when I have a 12 Month paid subscription. Cannot enter manage membership. Cannot enter redeem code. Cannot enter Purchase history.

It will connect to Xbox live just not Xbox Gold.

To put it simply my Xbox 360 cannot use the 4 months of Xbox gold live I have in my account.

When I use a PC I can enter the account and all features and it shows I have 4 months of Xbox gold live to go.

Everything worked fine until a couple of weeks ago.

As I mentioned Xbox support cannot fix it.

you cannot use your microsoft account currency to buy xbox live gold memberships.

You either need to enter a 25 character xbox live gold card that you have purchased or use a credit/debit card on your account to buy the membership directly.
