Cannot buy nor redeem Xbox 360 games from Marketplace

Hello,

I've seen this question asked many times but it is still a problem that cannot be ignored.

Whenever I try to buy (or redeem, for example from Live Gold subscription) an Xbox 360 game through Marketplace an error occurs which ends with an endless loading screen whenever I'm about to finish the purchase process.

This is an example of what I'm saying and it's happening to me right now, in this case with Sonic Generations game (which is listed as free for Live Gold members):

As you can see, some error occurs when loading a certain script file (pidl.prerequisites.js) which stops the process from being completed. I have logged into my account, checked the subscription is on, added a payment method (debit card), tried with multiple
web browsers (IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox) but the problem remains.

If I try the same process in my Xbox One, I can correctly end the process so it's something that has to do with the web itself.

I hope you can take a look at this problem as it is affecting more people as you can see in

posts like this one.

Hello, indeed, this is a recurring error. However, I manage to get around the problem from my console and cancel the purchase and relaunch it. After 1 or 2 tries, it works.

this problem started about 6+ months ago.

it's a bug in the decimal point.

in countries where decimals are a comma instead of a dot ($10.00 vs €10,00), the purchase will fail.

the script doesn't do anything special, it runs on live.com domain only and fixes the amount variable so as to not cause a javascript exception, allowing the purcase

after several reports for the past few months, it seems MS will simply ignore the problem

I also ran into this problem and already contacted the chat support about that.

They recommend to use the console for buying Xbox 360 related stuff, if the web fails to work.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to fix, and since this is a community forum where normal people like you try to help other people from the Xbox community, we also can't fix the broken website.

So please contact the official support and make them aware of that issue, so they can get the proper engineers on that problem (however, since that issue existed since September 2019, I wouldn't hold my breath that this gets fixed soon).

Sorry to hear it. Which browser are you using please? I would recommend trying a different one or clearing the cache on the browser to see if that helps
