Cannot buy Minecraft

Me and my buddies are having issues with buying Minecraft. We live in Maldives. First we got an error message that said something like "store location and payment method should be the same" when trying to buy bedrock. And we get an unspecified error when trying to buy Java. Is it not available in Maldives? Is there another way to buy it if I cannot buy in Microsoft store?

I am trying to buy from minecraft.net (which I think takes me to microsoft store) and I am using my Visa card which has a Maldives address.

Oh I see. Maldives is not an Xbox Supported region. So you can't buy games from the store from there. Sorry about that

The reason you're getting that error is because your payment method and your region doesn't match. You need to use a Maldives payment method to proceed

I hit buy now and it is making me buy the game. It also says in the bottom left that it cannot connect to minecraft services on the launcher.

Thanks for the support message.

Have you tried to power cycle your console by holding down the power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds and then turning it back on after 60 seconds? If not, give that a go! If no luck comes along with that step, try to purchase the
content directly from the Xbox Store instead of the in-game store and you shouldn't run into any issues.
