Cannot but any avatar items

Every single time I try to buy an avatar item (clothes, props, etc.) it says “Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox.”

The thing is, I’m on my original avatar app on MY XBOX, but the message is saying that apparently I’m using Xbox.com to make the purchase.

Does any body know what’s up??

Can I transfer a download from my dads account to mine?

Avatar items cannot be shared, but the other content should be.

This error message means that you don't have a payment option on your Microsoft account. You must have a payment instrument on your Microsoft account to download free content from the Xbox 360 Marketplace. To add a payment
option,
sign in to your Microsoft account, select Add a payment option, and then follow the instructions.

If you don't want to add a payment option, you can download the content using your Xbox 360 console.
