Cannot Authorise your Console for Dev mode Error: 0x8015963D

Hi, I have paid for a Microsoft Developer Account but I am unable to authorise my console via both the dev app on console or through the settings. I have the error code 0x8015963D when I try.

I have tried resetting and rebooting my console every way possible but still having the issue.

Hi Tom P! I hope you are well, delighted to be able to offer you my help!

I'm sorry you're going through this situation, I hope I can brighten your day by helping you solve it.

What you can do is the following through the hidden developer settings menu. Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Press LB RB LT RT > Developer Settings > Developer Mode.

Hi there

I don't think you can on the console game to be honest. Dev mode of the game was taking off console games to my recollection cannot find anything about switching to dev mode on console.

It is entirely possible they sold it because they could not get it out of dev mode. In dev mode you cannot play games on the console

Deactivate your console using the Dev Mode Activation app

The preferred method of deactivating Developer Mode on your console is to use the
Dev Mode Activation app.

Navigate to Games & apps > App
Open the Dev Mode Activation app.
Select Deactivate.

OR

Switch to Retail Mode

First, return your Xbox One console to Retail Mode.

Open Dev Home.
Select Leave Dev Mode. Your console will restart in Retail Mode.

OR Reset your console

You can also deactivate Developer Mode by resetting your console.

Note

When you reset your console, all local save game data will be lost.

To reset your console perform the following steps:

Go to My games & apps.
Select Apps, and then select
Settings.
Go to System in the left pane, and then select
Console info in the right pane.

4. Select Reset console.

Check that the billing address for your credit card matches exactly with the address on your xbox account, has the card expired at all. Try removing your credit card and adding another or simply add the old one again. It could be a number of things.

As I posted earlier in the thread the error code you are seeing could be a card authorisation error, meaning that your payment method cannot be authorised for payments to Microsoft.
