Cannot add new friends

    Cannot add new friends


    For the last few days I have been unable to add any new people to my friends list. When I try it gives me an error message that says "unable to make these changes to your profile." I tried doing it from the xbox app on my phone and it did the same thing.
    I even tried deleting a couple people first and it still didn't work. Is there something on my end that I can do to fix this?

    Adding and removing friends

    I cannot add or remove friends. I still have my old friends but cannot add new ones. I also tried to remove one and could not. What is wrong? I can add them on my pc but it does not show up on my xbox 360 console. Please help!

    I'm having the same issue, and I need help trying to fix it. It say "Sorry we cannot add this friend right now, try again later. Also go check your privacy settings." It says something along those lines.

    The appropriate teams are aware and are currently investigating this issue. We don't have an ETA to provide at this time, but we will definitely update this thread when we receive an update.

    K0rN b4ll, does this issue occur on Xbox.com as well?

    WildingMoss8, can you try on Xbox.com as well as the Xbox app (on Windows 10 and/or mobile)? Let us know if a similar issue occurs on those platforms and report back!

    Follow up... deleting friends that I previously made on the Xbox 360, within the Xbox 360 friends menu, removed them permanently from my friends list. Unfortunately, they still show up as followers on the Xbox One. I'm not sure if they can see my activity.
