Cannot add my account back

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work. Please try to refresh your operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data that restricts you from using your console normally without deleting your games or apps.​​​​​​​

Note: Make sure that you know your account logins before doing this step. Also, this will remove all your Home Xbox associations.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

3. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll select Reset and keep my games & apps.

I tried this earlier but no joy.

I tried to do this again just now but I now get a message that says:

We were unable to remove this console’s home Xbox associations.

I clicked on continue anyway.

Is this maybe because I did this earlier?

Any further suggestions?

Internet connection appears to all be fine.

Last console update was 14th December so I don’t think it’s that.

Starting to really regret trying install that Call of Duty game as that when I started to have all the issues.

Kindly try clearing your console's cache by following the steps below;

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Once you successfully added back your account, try the instructions below to fix the issue with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

- Back out when it is saying " connecting to data centers" bull shit. Then click go offline and proceed to enter a local multiplayer lobby. Then back out of that in the main COD menu and hit the select button, this should work. You may have to update Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate after if you've run out.

I followed your instructions regarding about clearing the cache but this has not worked. It still not allow me to add an account and just goes back to the Home Screen after 30 seconds.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
