    I have been onto the support chat and have a case number open with them.

    I have tried browser android device and the xbox to get this working but still keep getting this error.

    First time I spoke on the web chat i was told to wait 24 hours, that was on Sunday. Been onto them numerous times over the last couple of days.

    Today I was told its a known issue which I don't believe it is as its not being reported on any forums I can find.

    Just a while ago I was told systems need to cooldown and to wait 48 hours. I feel I'm being ignored on this.

    As a test I setup a test account and created a new child account and this worked with no errors. With the test account I then tried adding 1 of my kids accounts and got this error again

    Something went wrong on our end. Give it a few minutes, then try again.

    I would really appreciate if I could get some help with this issue its causing nothing but grief in the family. I cannot monitor what the kids are doing and as all games are under my account only 1 of the xboxs at a time is usable, as it kicks another kid out when 1 tries to play something else.

    Can I get some help maybe here on the forum.

    I've been told the case is still open and being looked at, but its been open since Sunday and nobody has got back to me.

    What is the exact error that comes up when you attempt to add the new person? Look at the following info to see if it will give you an clarification....

    "Error: You can't add any more accounts to this Gold Family Pack. You can add previous Gold Family Pack members, but there is a waiting period to add a new account.

    Gold Family Pack subscriptions are limited to six unique Gold Memberships per year. You can add and remove members within the year, but you cannot exceed six unique members. If you have an available membership in your Gold Family Pack, you can add a previous
    member to your Gold Family Pack."

    My issue is adding members to my account which I am the Organizer. These members are not part of another family and keep getting this error message every time I request to invite:

    Cannot add child to XBOX One - says already belongs to a family- but WHAT family??

    Same problem here. Created two new outlook accounts for my kids and it won't let me add them to my family. I get the cannot add child they are already a member of another family error. Hopefully they fix this soon!

    Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are getting an error message when you try to add a family member to your account's family. Are you attempting to add a family member on an Xbox One, a Windows 10 computer or a mobile device?
